The steel belt reinforced spiral bellows (MRP) adopts the U section steel belt composite PE material, which greatly improves the ring stiffness of the pipe without increasing the cost, and the strength of the pipe is greatly improved compared with the wound pipe and the carat pipe under the same weight. This kind of pipes can solve a series of problems such as heavy load. The advantage of large caliber pipes is more obvious. At present, the diameter of the pipes is from DN600mm to DN2200mm, and the ring stiffness is above 8KN/m2, which is lighter and stronger than cement pipes and other plastic pipes.

The composite of each layer is carried out in the melting state of plastic. Completely different from winding pipe (hollow wall pipe) secondary melting molding, all layers of the pipes are completely bonded and have high degree of fastness. The surface of the steel strip is specially pretreated to enhance the corrosion resistance of steel and the adhesion of steel and plastic, and improve the peel strength. The pipes are formed by winding when the plastic material is fully melted and therefore the overall structure of the pipes is firm and reliable. The special materials and processes used not only solve the corrosion problem of steel plate, but also enhance the adhesion between steel plate and PE material, so that the service life of the pipe is the same as that of the pure plastic pipe, reaching over 50 years.

The pipes can be connected firmly by electric melting, heat shrink belt, internal and external extrusion welding or a variety of combined methods. A reliable connection enables the pipe to achieve zero leakage.
